How does the fantasy football trade analyzer grade a trade?

Every player carries a EV model projection. The Ring scores the players you give and the players you get as a starting lineup rather than a raw points pile: only as many players as you receive can hold starting slots, and extra bodies are discounted as bench depth. A huge plus is a Touchdown, a small plus is a Field Goal, an even trade is No Gain, and a minus is an Interception.

Yes. You can build both sides of a trade and see the grade, the point totals, and the breakdown without an account. Signing in adds roster loading and saved views.

Does it work for best ball trades?

Yes, and best ball is the default mode. In best ball, a consolidation that trades depth for a higher-ceiling player never grades below C, because best ball auto-starts your spike weeks and stars beat bodies.

Where do the player values come from?

The values are our EV model projections, the same numbers that power the EV rankings page. Consensus market totals are shown next to the model totals so you can see where our read differs from the room.

Should I accept this trade?

Accepted Answer

Use the letter grade as the fast answer and the breakdown underneath it as the reason. Grade A or B means the trade raises your starting lineup, C means it is close enough that roster construction and bye weeks decide it, and D means you are giving up more than you get.
